The casting news for CBS’ Supergirl continues to fly in as we have now another villain that will be facing off against the Girl of Steel. EW is reporting that Powers’ actor Justice Leak has been cast to play the DC Comics baddie Hellgrammite in an episode of season one.
In the comic books, Roderick Rose (a.k.a. Hellgrammite) is an entomologist who one day gets transformed into a humanoid bug-like monster through an experiment which gives him abilities such as super-strength as well as the power to produce cocoons that he can use to either imprison his enemies in or turn them into larvae versions of himself. Not a lot details was revealed about Leak’s version of the character on the TV show other than that he is going to be an alien that Kara will have to go after.
The casting of Leak as Hellgrammite comes after recent announcements that Brit Morgan will be playing Livewire as well as the TCA news that these three big DC Comics characters will be coming in season one of Supergirl.
Supergirl will have its series premiere on Monday, October 26 at 8:30 PM before going back to its regular time slot at 8 PM the following Monday, on CBS!
