I think that Clark/Superman running down the alley is a reference to “Adventures of Superman”. George Reeves always ran before he took off. There can NEVER be too many references to Superman movies!

It’s very possible that the running down the alley moment could be a reference to Adventures of Superman and George Reeves, but I also took it as a parallel to Kara running down the alley to take off for the first time in the “Pilot”.
Either interpretation is a nice thought 🙂
