Why?
Why why why why why?
Why?
WHY, when they only have 15-20 seconds to promote the next episode, are they spending it on Kara fretting over her prospective boyfriend’s ex being in town? There is an entire genre of shows devoted to young women being insecure about their love lives; we call them “soap operas.” I don’t mind the romantic travails being in there as a B-plot or something, but using them to promote the show buries what was promised to be unique about it in the first place. That material should be used to flesh out Kara’s character, not be pushed as if it’s the central dramatic conflict in the story!
My apologies for the rant; I should add that I have been an avid listener to Supergirl Radio since Episode Zero, I think you both do a wonderful job with it, and I hope to write an actual email to you some time before the CBS promo monkeys completely trash any chances the show has of being successful.
I’m forced to agree, Mark; focusing exclusively on the romantic angle in the promo struck me as a poor way to hook viewers.
They released this promo today which is much more awesome 🙂
