Mark wrote in to share some thoughts on the Supergirl season five episode titled “Back From the Future – Part One”!

Before I talk about this episode, I wanted to go back to Rebecca’s idea of having Josh Henderson on the show. I was wondering who he might play from the DC Comics catalog, and it came to me: Bat Lash! He’s a lighthearted Silver Age western character, a bit of a drinker, a bit of a gambler, a bit of a playboy… Essentially, he’s James Garner’s Bret Maverick and I think that would be a perfect guest character on the show and Josh would be perfect for him!As for this episode, I really liked The Tower, with apparently a signal panel for people like Barry and Kate who don’t even know it exists yet! It was cool to see Nia’s and Brainy’s logos up there too, although, I don’t know if that spiral is established for Dream Girl or Dreamer in the comics or if it’s all new.It was great seeing Winn and Jeremy was amazing in both roles. Winn really fit back with the team and I loved the way he reacted to Nia as a (small L) legend, like the Legion reacted to Kara back when they were first introduced. Nia being surprised at what her powers could do was less surprising than Winn having a Legion ring with dream powers when he’s apparently married to Lightning Lass. But, his pep talk with Nia was awesome so I guess I’ll let it slide.El Mayarah,Mark
