New Rachel wrote in with ten details she really enjoyed about this episode (in no particular order).
Dear Supergirl Radio,
10 details I really enjoyed about this episode, in no particular order:1. The mention of Streaky– also Brainy using the phrase “mind palace” instead of “mind prison”, as apparently that’s a reference to Sherlock Holmes, and Kara quoted him in 3×10, and also, from his point of view, she’d definitely deserve a palace instead of a prison2. Nia studying the law when trying to help James, as we know her descendant is known for using her knowledge of the Legion constitution– also, just as we saw in 4×02, she was sleeping at work, and it’s implied that her actions in that episode and this one were motivated by dreams she had during those times3. Beebo!4. L-Corp apparently now owns Jack’s company!5. The reminder we get that Brainy can communicate with technology, in what he says about the nanites, which was just adorable6. Everything about pie7. Return of the DEO Batcave!8. They actually brought back the actor who played the Hellgrammite from season 1 for his role in this episode, how cool9. Parasite being used again, even though that was totally gross and, as Rebecca pointed out while livetweeting, reminded me of a Black Zero move from Krypton10. Kara’s claustrophobia is a thing again– and speaking of the suit, Daft Punk reference, thanks Manchester BlackPeople I wanted to give a hug to, again in no particular order:KaraAlexJ’onnManchester Black, for most of the episodeFionaBrainyLenaNiaJamesThat kid who had his Beebo stepped on by OtisAnd none for Agent Liberty or Mercy or Otis or Jensen, byeStay super,New Rachel
I love you New Rachel!
Yes Dreamgirl and the law <3 even I didn't pick up on that! I am starting to be very surprised at the amount of silver and bronze age love that is going into Nia's character when I expected her to be based more on her Earth 33 version.
I can add the 1 point that Jensen was actually the name of the original Parasite also a disgruntles worker who got his powers via stealing from his employers.
