Listener Email: Soldier J’onn

Daryl wrote in to share some thoughts about the Supergirl Season 6 episode titled “Phantom Menaces”!

I don’t like seeing Alex like this. The sooner Kara comes back, the better. This show is doing a disservice by having Alex freeze up during a fight. This is not our Alex. In fact, this show has done so much for all these characters to be so unemotional and together, that when they fall apart, I don’t recognize them at all.

It really bothers me that they didn’t think they had the time to have Alex tell Kelly the truth last week, but they had time to have Alex ask Kelly to move in.

I am not even sure Lex did anything truly bad enough to Brainy to get that reaction from him. They so rarely mention him not having the inhibitors anymore his outburst just freaked me out.

Lex doing an interview with CatCo just proves they are truly the only news media outlet on this new earth in National City.

Lena really shouldn’t be surprised at the levels Lex will go to. It is far past time for her to realize boxes don’t work. Where is Kelly when you need her?

Why is J’onn referring to Silas as human? He says they didn’t know the phantoms could possess a human, but Silas is an alien. This is exactly the problem you run into when you have a different writer every week, but simply put this kind of mistake shouldn’t happen.

Kara’s monologue to her new imp friend felt so much like her opening it’s like they knew how much we prefer having it open the show. Hey Kara, your father and your mother sent you. Don’t discount your mother’s contribution. Also, she is showing more emotion in the scene where she is talking to her new imp friend than in any scene last week with her father.

Alura built the Phantom Zone?

I really could have done without soldier J’onn. It really was a waste of screen time to just bring him back to who he should be, to who he was just last week. There was no reason to talk down to M’gann like that.

How much bigger did J’onn make the Tower because this show is just throwing any realistic kind of real estate improvement out the window. They better never do an outside shot of the building or they might really have to answer how J’onn is doing all of this.

The only reason I can think of for Nicole Maines being gone this week is that they didn’t have the budget to show Dreamer’s powers and that is just unfair to the actress to cut her out entirely for that reason…if that is, in fact, the reason.
