I liked this week’s episode, but I’m a simple woman…if I’m entertained and if Lena is wearing an awesome outfit, then I liked it.There were definitely some issues in this episode, like giving air time to William watching a football game…or er, I guess he was actually watching the courtroom drama for Lex’s trial. Coulda fooled me with those reactions!And NOT giving air time to Alex telling Kelly that her sister is Supergirl. I really would have preferred to see this interaction because I’m always a sucker for “Comforting Kelly” scenes. Especially, when it involves my OTP on the show, Kelly and Alex.The courtroom drama was really hard to watch because a judge would never have let Lex go off the handle like that. I kept thinking “when is she going to slam her gavel and tell him to sit down and stop disrespecting her courtroom?” But alas, it never came, and somehow the jury sat there and said “yeah this all makes perfect sense…Not Guilty!”I loved the lack of explanation for Kara not having bangs anymore. That definitely had me laughing. Though, I guess they hinted that she has been in the Phantom Zone for a while when she described her suffering to her dad. But I know from personal experience that bangs take months to grow out. So it didn’t really make sense to me, but I went with it anyways.I have a theory that Kara’s dad isn’t really in the Phantom Zone, but is actually a figment of her imagination meant to discourage her and slowly attribute to her insanity while there.Loved the twist that the Post-Crisis Phantom Zone is now filled with pocket dimensions. I think that adds a good touch to complicate the storyline of getting Supergirl back to earth.I’m worried Lex will convince the D.A. to bring charges against Lena. There seemed to be a hint at that in his post-courtroom interview on the TV. Though, she’s never had issues bribing or exchanging information with the D.A. in the past (for example: James’ Guardian charges) so maybe it won’t be a big deal. No hate to Lena. She’s my criminal fave.Can’t wait to hear your opinions on the podcast!
