Today is a big day for Supergirl fans everywhere as a big casting announcement has been made and it comes from one of our own! The Mary Sue’s Teresa Jusino, also one of the fabulous co-hosts of Supergirl Radio, broke the news today that Buffy the Vampire Slayer actress Emma Caulfield has been cast on the Supergirl series!
Caulfield, who is best known for her role as Anya in the butt-kicking Joss Whedon series, has been tapped to play the DC Comics character Cameron Chase in an upcoming episode of the show. While we don’t know when we will see her, Warner Bros. TV provided The Mary Sue with an official description of Cameron Chase on Supergirl which reads as followed:
“After her father’s violent murder, Cameron Chase decided to dedicate her life to law enforcement. Now a stern, no holds barred FBI agent, Chase’s weapons of choice are manipulation and manpower. With little sympathy, and plenty of suspicions, she pursues her targets with ruthless determination.”
Supergirl airs on Monday nights at 8/7c on CBS. In the meantime, what do you think of the casting of Caulfield as Cameron Chase? Let us know in the comments below!
