Abby sent in some thoughts about the Supergirl season four episode titled “Bunker Hill”!
Hello, Supergirl Radio!
Questions:
First off, WHERE IS LENA? Is she okay? Is she hiding in a tiny itty bitty box, drowning herself in a scotch beverage, working on ‘Subject 0332’, or visiting Lillian in jail? I need more answers than her avoiding her boyfriend!
Second, Nia’s background brings us back to the question – how long has Nia’s family (and aliens) been on Earth?
Third, why wasn’t James apart of Kara, Nia, and Brainy’s investigation of Agent Liberty? Wasn’t James the one investigating them for the past how many episodes? (Maybe he just needed to catch up on some sleep under his desk?)
Lastly, did they put Manchester and Lockwood in the same prison? Will they add James to the mix as well later in the season due to his Guardian endeavors? Might as well add Lex there, too, and have a National City Prison show!
Thoughts:
I thought the DEO already knew of Kara’s identity? In the power-ranger suit Lena made, the descriptions on the screen read “Alex Danver’s sister”. That being said, the President’s argument towards Kara’s identity was very similar to Lena’s argument with kryptonite last season.
When the President said the United States doesn’t want a war with Supergirl, her response of “Trust YOU wont start one!” seemed very un-Supergirl like to me. She’s basically saying it would be their fault, not hers. Pretty sure it takes two to start a war? But, I am interested to see how this will play out and on what side the characters will fall.
Lastly, I really liked the Manchester storyline. It kept us on our toes, and in the end, showed us if pushed enough, we can become the person we hate. On the opposite end, we have J’onn despite being betrayed by Manchester, is still trying to help him.
Thank you once again, for giving me a platform to share my thoughts and ask questions.
Sincerely,
Abby
