Danielle wrote in to share some thoughts about the character interactions in the Supergirl Season 4 premiere titled “American Alien”!
This was a really solid premiere! I loved everything about it.The character interactions were my favorite part, especially the ones between Alex and Brainy and Kara and Nia. At Comic Con, Jesse said that Brainy and Alex were going to butt heads this season and so far, I am not disappointed. It was beautiful to witness, especially the moment where Brainy was wearing Winn’s clothes and that heartfelt conversation with Alex tugged at my heartstrings. I can’t wait to see more of them, and I loved the Danvers Sisters moment as well. Rao, how I have missed these two.Speaking of siblings, I loved the Graves siblings. They were so much fun, even though they are diabolically evil. I am looking forward to seeing more of Mercy and Otis, as well as Agent Liberty since we didn’t get much of him this episode. Also…HE HAS THE SPIKES IN HIS ARMOR. All he needs is a jetpack and his look will be complete!On to Kara and Nia. Love love love, gimme more of this, please! Nia fit in seamlessly at CatCo and I totally relate to her freaking out when in the presence of one, Kara Danvers. Also, it was really relatable seeing her freeze in the pitch meeting and I loved Kara’s conversation about it with her afterwards, cementing Kara’s position as an amazing mentor. I also loved James calling her Cat in that moment. It made me miss Cat Grant all the more. Nevertheless, I think Kara and Nia’s relationship is going to be one for the ages.All in all, really great episode with some great character moments and I am looking forward to the rest of the season.– Danielle
