The CW is hard at work filling out rolls for season 2 of Supergirl which debuts on it’s new station Monday, Oct. 10 at 8/7c. Just announced today by TV Line, former Merlin star Katie McGrath will portray Lex Luthor’s sister on the DC Superhero show.
Lena Luthor will be apparently be taking over LexCorp after Lex has been incarcerated (Could this be linked to the cinematic universe?). She’ll be hoping to put a positive spin on the company and it’s actions in the wake of Lex’s departure. Kara will need to decide whether or not to trust Lena and her seemingly good intentions. Could this be where the Man of Steel, Tyler Hoechlin, comes in to help guide his cousin?
Other recent casting news puts Lynda Carter, the 1970’s embodiment of Wonder Woman as the President of the United States in the Supergirl Universe. Floriana Lima (The Family) as Maggie Sawyer, Ian Gomez (Cougar Town) as Snapper Carr, The Vampire Diaries’ Christopher Wood as a mysterious DC Comics character and Teen Wolf’s Tyler Hoechlin as Superman.
How do you feel about the Merlin star joining the cast? What do you think Kara and her relationship will be like? Let us know in the comments below!
Supergirl Season 2 premieres on Monday, October 10 at 8/7c on The CW.
