hi supergirl is like my idol i just wanted to ask what do you think makes supergirl so different to superman?

  2. For me, the difference between Supergirl and Superman can be found in two things:

    1) Her backstory.

To me, Supergirl’s backstory is a little more tragic than Superman’s. Yes, they both lose Krypton, but Kara is the only one of the two who actually knew Krypton. She had family and friends there. She grew up there. She knew the culture. Krypton was her home. So while Kal may have lost his people and his home planet, Kara is the one who truly lost her home.

    2) Her personality.

In most iterations, Supergirl is a little more brash and impulsive than Superman. She is usually a little spunkier to Superman’s more serious nature. That usually happens because Kara is often depicted as younger than Kal/Clark. They both love helping people, but they do it in their own ways.

    I hope that helps!

I also noticed watching this episode, Kara outed herself to Lillian Luther when she told her that she saw her in Lena Luther’s office. I tried to recall Supergirl ever being Lena’s office, and she never was but Kara was. Supergirl just revealed her secret identity to the enemy. Good job Kara!
